Oxdia is an online platform that provides academic services to university students. It was established in 2007 under the Student Buddy - a student organization at the University of Toronto. The Student Buddy (founded in 2003) provides both academic and social services to enrich student's life and is run by students. Past and present academic events include academic seminars, research opportunity fairs, mock tests (MCAT/LSAT/GMAT) and study groups. Social events such as volunteer fairs, charity fundraisers (eg. Canadian Cancer Society dafodil sale), CPR training programs have been frequently held.
In 2010, Oxdia grew to become an independent academic platform that facilitates the exchange of study materials amongst students. Since then, tens of thousands of students have been served by Oxdia and this number is growing steadily. Oxdia will continue to provide academic services, strive to enhance its current services, and aim to explore other areas in the future that will further improve student's lives on campus.
